Sarah + Boyd | Wedding Day in St. Louis

We had the pleasure of meeting Sarah and Boyd at a bridal show, and we instantly fell in love with them. They both have these big beautiful smiles that light up a room! You can’t help but smile back at them …… constantly. I just loved Sarah’s natural beauty and wonderful personality (she’s a big fan of the arts!) and I definitely fell in love with Boyd for his geeky affection for camera lenses and video production. So needless to say, we were really honored when they asked us to photograph their special day.

It sure was another hot and humid day to shoot a wedding! But looking back, compared to the weather today, it wasn’t that bad! The ceremony took place at the beautiful Graham Chapel on the campus of Washington University. This church is a photographer’s dream …… breathtaking architecture with loads of natural light. Complete heaven. This was also the first church where we had free range to roam around wherever our little, creative hearts desired! Because of this, we ended up with some really beautiful shots from a lot of different perspectives that we don’t typically get during a ceremony. A real treat, when usually there are so many rules to follow in a church. The event coordinator was also so great to work with – a big shout out to Amanda for all your sweet help and direction! Thank you! Anyway, a really, really beautiful, tear-evoking ceremony with wonderfully unique vows!

Wiping our tears away, we headed to the Charles F. Knight Center, also on the campus, for the reception. My favorite part about the reception was the video they created for their guests. Hil-ar-ious. Nothing like old-school photos set to great music, and a little bit of Beyonce. (He did put a ring on it!) We loved it!

Thank you Sarah and Boyd for treating us so well! This was a really great wedding to be a part of, and we hope you love all the images we captured! Probably my most favorite part of the day is when I have alone time with just the bride and groom. So today, I’ve posted several of my favorites with Sarah and Boyd. I also forgot to mention that I think Boyd looks like he walked out of a Ralph Lauren ad! Hand-some. Hmmmm, something to consider! If you would like to see more of the day, please visit our website:

Congratulations! Here’s to many years of sweet love!

Heather and Ryan,

Thank you for EVERYTHING!! :) Yes, from the moment we met you at the bridal show at the Chase, we knew we had to work with you and have you photograph our wedding. I think I fell in love with the look and composition of your work and instantly envisioned it for our wedding.

You have an amazing eye and a strong ability to just capture the essence and beauty of a moment with such depth and dimension. Truly, you both make such a talented team and we are so happy that we were able to work with you for our wedding.

Again, thank you for documenting our day with such attention to detail, beauty and creativity. It was a pleasure to have you along for the ride and have you be the providers of the lasting images of our special day.

We look forward to watching your photography business grow… and only hope that many, many more couples have the opportunity to experience what we did.

Congratulations to you both on your upcoming nuptials…

And, good wishes, always,

Sarah & Boyd

PS – Everyone loves the photos… I’ve received tons of compliments on the images… thank you! :)
